<p><br/>Poker rooms in casinos and online poker rooms are a great place to play.<br/><br/>But there are other types of poker played in casinos. In online casinos, such as playtech com casinos, there are a few other versions to consider.<br/><br/>In traditional table poker, the player is taking on other players and the house gets a ?rake? or percentage.<br/><br/>However, in casino poker, there is a house edge.<br/><br/>Here are some of the playtech com casino poker games and how they work. Keep in mind these are not really poker games in the traditional sense but casino games.<br/><br/>1) <strong>Caribbean</strong>: Each player takes on the bank. You ante and get five cards. After you have seen your hand and the banks first card, you can stay in by increasing your stake to twice the original ante, or surrender or fold, giving up your ante. You have two ways to get money back. If the bank does not have AK or better, your bet is returned. If the banks does have AK or better you win if your hand is better than the bank&#8217;s. You get even money on your ante plus odds payoffs for the higher quality of your hand. (Such as 2-1 for two pair, 3-1 for three of a kind, etc.). If the bank has AK or better and your hand is worse than the bank&#8217;s hand, you lose your ante and bet.<br/><br/>2) <strong>Casino Hold&#8217;em</strong>: Play begins with each player making an ante wager. As in real hold &#8216;em, two cards are dealt face down to each player and dealer. The player may examine his own cards. The dealer deal a flop (community cards). A player must decide to either fold or call. If he calls, he must double the ante. The dealer will then deal two more community cards. The dealer will also turn over his own two cards. Essentially, best hand wins, but the dealer must have at least a pair of fours, otherwise the call bet is a push.<br/><br/>3) <strong>Let &#8216;em ride</strong>: The player is dealt three cards, the dealer two. The player is trying to get to get any winning poker hand consisting of a pair of 10&#8217;s or higher, using all five cards. As in the other games, a player must ante, then decide whether not to continue after getting the three cards. A player can double the original bet or continue without a raise. After that decision, the dealer&#8217;s first card is shown, and again the player can raise or continue. A raise has to double the original bet. The player&#8217;s three cards combine with the dealer&#8217;s two and any hand of tens or higher, the player wins.<br/><br/>4) <strong>Pai Gow</strong>: Traditional rules, with two hands, a five-card hand and a two card hand.<br/><br/>5) <strong>Poker three</strong>: This is just a variation on three card poker.<br/><br/>6) <strong>Red dog</strong>: A variation on the game acey/deucy where suit does not come into play.<br/><br/>7) <strong>Tequila</strong>: An interesting twist where the player can bet either on a poker hand or a point total. Four cards, a round of betting, then two more cards.<br/><br/>All of these Playtech com games are unique and fun. <p>(Yablon is a very simple game. Yablon is a banking game in which two cards are dealt face up, and the player bets on whether a third card will rank between the first two cards. Mostly played in Asia and involve pretty big pool on the table. http://www.pagat.com/banking/yablon.html)<br />
Yes, its pretty different comparing Red dog and blackjack.</p>
<p>The problem now is applying the right value on the cards. Ace,King,Queen can be also an advantage and disadvantage for the player</p>
<p>Assuming your opening hand is Ace(1) and King and the number in between is 2,3,4&#8230;Q.<br />
If the dealer open up the card Ace or King you are busted.</p>
<p>7,8,9 is assigned 0 for blackjack but in Red Dog it also can be an advantage card assuming if you get Ace or 2 in your opening hand.</p>
<p>Maybe i should ask a mathematician to assign the value for me lol.<br />
I totally agree with you Zadignose. Tracking the middle card are important and should be assign a higher value but tracking other cards are equally important as well.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s assumed that you have (6) and a (K) in your opening hands but the chances of obtaining 7,8,9,10,J,Q are only 6/8 if you did not track A,1,2,3,4,5, 6, K properly.</p>

Make sure no matter how impressed by the place you are, you appear as if this is just another day playing texas holdem in the casino. If your skills at texas holdem will not allow you to go unnoticed then pick another game like roulette or blackjack.<br/><br/>Make sure you know how to play. This will then make you stand out and risk you being marked as an inexperienced player or &#8220;The Fish&#8221;.<br/><br/>Every player at a texas holdem poker table that spots you as the fish will then begin to focus on you till they find your tells, and believe me we all have them. You just have to understand the basic rules of play, and know which hands to actually set down during the game. This poker cheat sheet is designed to help you understand some of the most basic principles of the poker in general, and to help you develop your strategies. After all, a card player is not defined by the amount he or she plunks at the table, but rather by the strategies he or she uses to win round after round.<br/><br/>Poker Cheat Sheet # 1: Learn The Game First And You Will Know The Lingo<br/><br/>It&#8217;s not enough these days to say that you are going to play poker. There are so many variations now to this card game that it is quite simple to get lost in &#8220;poker speech.&#8221; So, for clarification purposes, poker is poker is poker &#8230; except when people say video poker (which is really a computer game / slot machine); and Red Dog Poker (which is more similar to the game of Blackjack than anything else.) All other variations like Five Card Draw, Omaha, Primero, Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold&#8217;em and Three-Card Brag have the same winning principle: you need 5 cards to lay out a (hopefully!) winning hand.<br/><br/>Poker Cheat Sheet # 2: Know When To Fold And When To Go With Gut Instinct<br/><br/>Some of the most &#8220;notorious&#8221; card players believe in 2 things: luck and their gut instincts. Although these seem innocuous enough, you as a beginner should remember that poker is a betting game; and luck may turn sour oh-so-quickly; and your gut instinct may just be a gas build-up over the taco you had for dinner. Conservative playing is one way of learning from other players&#8217; triumphs and mistakes. After all, you cannot expect to win all the time, and you certainly do not want to lose all the time. Bet conservatively at the start of the game. If you find your cards less than desirable, fold immediately.<br/><br/>Poker Cheat Sheet # 3: Stop Trying To Figure Out If Your Opponent Is Bluffing!<br/><br/>If you think that your hand has a fighting chance, then you can slowly build up your bets. The other card players on the table are heaping too much money on the table, and you keep wondering whether or not he or she is bluffing. Instead of wasting your energy figuring out the truth behind those hideous poker faces, concentrate on this one fact: your opponent may not be bluffing at all! And stop bluffing yourself. This risky move (according to stats) has only 1% chance of ever winning.<br/><br/>Poker is all or nothing. If you think your hand will win, then keep it. If not, it would be better to fold while you are ahead.<br/><br/>Poker Cheat Sheet # 4: Know Which Hands To Keep<br/><br/>Indubitably, face cards are the greatest things to get, since there is all likelihood of putting out a winning hand when you have a set. However, one or two or three cards mean absolutely nothing in a game of poker. You need five&#8230; always five. So instead of focusing you attention to just the face cards, (which many beginners are prone to do,) think of the 5 cards - the hand, and how it will fare in the game. A straight flush can win over a full house. A straight can win over a three-of-a-kind. <p>If you haven&#8217;t heard of Red Dog, perhaps you&#8217;ve heard of one of the other names this game is called by-acey-duecey or in-between. If you&#8217;ve been to Vegas and haven&#8217;t seen this game on the floor, don&#8217;t be alarmed. Red Dog is a blast from the past.</p>
<p>The game has dropped in popularity over the past decade and it&#8217;s rarely seen. If you want a game where you can just guess and don&#8217;t have to think, this is a good game for you. It&#8217;s so darn easy to learn.</p>
<p>The game starts with you making a wager-big surprise right. Actually, there is a little bit of thinking involved, because you&#8217;ll get to increase that wager. Okay, so you have the wager on the table. Next, the dealer deals two cards face up in the center of the table.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to note that an Ace is always the high card. So the pecking order goes: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A.</p>
<p>Once the two cards are dealt, the dealer will announce the &quot;spread.&quot; The hand is over if there&#8217;s no spread.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say that the first card is a 5 and the second card is a Jack, the spread is five-there are five cards (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) between the two cards. At this time, you can either leave your wager as is or increase it. You can add a new amount that&#8217;s up to the value of your original wager. So, if you bet $10 initially, you&#8217;re added wager can be up to $10.</p>
<p>The bigger the spread, the lower the potential payout. Here&#8217;s a listing of the payoffs.</p>
<p>1 card spread: 5:1</p>
<p>2 card spread: 4:1</p>
<p>3 card spread: 2:1</p>
<p>4 card spread or higher: 1:1</p>
<p>Once you decide whether to place an additional wager or leave your bet as is, a third card is dealt. If it falls between the first two cards, you win-pay is as shown above.</p>
<p>For instance, let&#8217;s imagine that the first two cards are a 3 and a 6. You would have a two card spread (4,5). The payout would be 4:1. If that third card is a 4 or 5, you win. If not, you lose.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all there is to Red Dog. It&#8217;s an incredibly simple game to learn and play. It&#8217;s really the classic &quot;guessing game.&quot;</p>
<p>Red Dog can be played with 1-8 decks. And here&#8217;s something different. You actually want more decks-unlike Blackjack where less is better. The house edge in Red Dog is about 3.2% with one deck and drops to about 2.8% with eight decks.</p>
